Just a few definitions;
Caregiver: A person who cares for someone
who is sick or disabled, generally a family member or significant other.
Hospice: A facility or program designed to provide a
caring environment for meeting the physical and emotional needs of the
terminally ill and their families.
Palliative Care: Treatment to relieve
symptoms without curing the disease.
So
many times we will use these terms, forgetting that there are people that are
not familiar with them. What we need to
know is what kind of questions are needing to be answered. What can we do as educators to help you (the
reader) understand these topics more fully.
Let us know in a response to this blog and we can address your concerns.
A
truly good litmus test for a good teacher is a passion and enthusiasm for their
subject. Those who have a passion for Hospice know they offer something special
and enthusiasm comes about when one has a sincere desire to tell the world
about something wonderful. Let us know
how we can more effectively help to answer your questions.
